⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-My son graduated from Willamette University and we rented this awesome house for a long weekend of celebrating. It was a perfect location. Out in the country but easy to get to. The beds are cozy and the pool table hot tub and fire pit made great gathering places. I hope we have another occasion to stay here again. (Jackie, San Francisco, CA)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-The Observatory is a lovely getaway spot, with incredible 360’ views! This is the place to stay if you’re looking for quiet and calm. (Kirstin, Eugene, OR)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-Such a unique place to get away from the hustle and bustle. This beautiful place is so different in all the right way. I loved sitting by the fire listening to the wildlife. It’s so close to Salem too, but felt so isolated. I’d love to stay again! (Tiffany, Pueblo, CO)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-This has to be the most unique AirBnb I have stayed at so far. I have seen the observatory many times driving back from Corvallis and wondered "I wonder what that is, it sure looks cool!" Fast forward a few years to when I discover that the observatory is actually rentable via AirBnB. I decided to visit for the night and was not disappointed! The unique building was clean, well thought out, and easy to get too. Priscilla, the wonderful host provided all of the information I could need about the place. She leaves highly detailed info about things to do in Polk County and beyond, and she was quick to respond to my many questions and insights. The charming log cabin feel gives a great vibe, but the tower never felt small. The ground floor is a great entertaining spaces and includes a large TV and a billiards table. The second floor sleeping quarters are spacious and could sleep at least five or six people, if not more. The bathroom with it's giant shower was great too. But the cherry on top of the sundae has to be the third floor, the roof with the hot tub and the epic 360-degree view of the Willamette Valley. Wow! What a treat for a cold November night. Equally as fun is hanging out in the hot tub during the sunrise, which is even more spectacular. Priscilla's property around the observatory is a wildlife refuge and the sounds of birdcalls in the morning and coyotes howling at night was a cool feature. You feel like you are miles away from everything, when in reality places like Salem, Albany, Independence and Corvallis are no more than 20 minutes away. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to visit a relaxing, visually impressive and unique cabin without driving deep into the middle of nowhere and having the best view in the valley to boot! Hope to visit again soon! (Nicholas, Salem, OR)
